Aterciopelados (The Velvets) – Nominated by MTV as “Best Artist”

The band with rock music’s most unpronounceable name, ATERCIOPELADOS (Ah-tair-see-oh-pel-ah-does) aka “The Velvets”, have just been nominated by MTV United States in the category of “Best Artist in Central Region”!

As part of their global tour in support of their critically acclaimed album “Rio”, Colombian indie-rockers Aterciopelados will be in Sydney for their first Australian show ever on Thursday October 1st @ The Metro, with awesome support band Watussi.
