The LSD Club presents the second of its new monthly nights Traffic launching Friday the 26th of March at The Oxford Arts Factory. Traffic will be launching with none other than the SVU Dj’s and Tybalt for a night of musical mayhem!
SVU was born unto the world during a dark time on Australia’s night scene. As the electro craze started sinking, along with the loving night haunts that once housed them, the last faithful followers looked skyward for something new to come along and mend their broken hearts. Along came two wizards, who’d until then been busily taking hold of the heads and hearts of the world with their band Lost Valentinos.
The boys combined their love for the dirty depths a good rave can lead to, with the sickeningly rapid heights of a good timeless pop tune. Their furious, slamming DJ sets fast became renowned for capturing all of that, whilst managing to effortlessly capture every fear and joy in between.
Tybalt is a collaboration between two unknown, very mysterious partners. Tybalt began to sprout about three years ago, as some of the hottest remixes began to surface on the singles of New Zealand’s Cut off Your Hands, Damn Arms, Lost Valentinos and teenagersintokyo. These remixes, re-rubbed with a generous amount of disco dust and sprinkled with 80s synth sounds, sent the blog world into a spin. Little has been known about the force (or forces) behind the name until now, all we can guess from the origin of the bands they’ve remixed, is that they MAY possibly lurk within a Sydney studio where (we can only hope) they’re hard at work on their own original material! All will be revealed on Friday the 26th of March at TRAFFIC
With a strong supporting line up of none other than:
Me And You
You can expect the beats to be banging and the booze to be flowing. Doors open 11.30 approx and it’s $10 all night.
We’ve got our hands on an exclusive rave mix from the mysterious Tybalt to promote Traffic at the Oxford Arts Factory. You can listen to and download it below:
