Australia Has A New Touring Heavy Music Festival Called Meltdown

Australia’s east coast has scored a new heavy music festival called Meltdown Festival, and it’s just announced its debut lineup.

Melting faces in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane this May, Meltdown will feature sets from heavy outfits like Gay Paris, Child and Arteries, as well as some of each city’s fastest-rising local acts.

Run by booking, management and promotions company Dirthouse Agency, the festival has been 18 months in the making, and Dirthouse owner Jason Finlay is pumped to see it finally come to fruition.

“We look forward to providing a day of good times, great bands for the fans and hope to create memories that they’ll never forget,” he says.

Finlay says he’s already considering expanding the festival into more cities and with multiple stages in 2019, so stay tuned for that (possibly) and check out this year’s Meltdown Festival lineup in full, below.
