A.B. Original, Peking Duk & M-Phazes Dominate The 2018 APRA Music Awards

The 2018 APRA Music Awards have been dominated by the likes of rap duo A.B. Original, electro boys Peking Duk, producer M-Phazes and singer-songwriter Paul Kelly.

Taking place in Sydney on Tuesday night, the annual awards saw A.B. Original (Briggs and Trials) become the first hip-hop act to claim the Songwriter Of The Year award, following their debut album Reclaim Australia.

Paul Kelly claimed Song Of The Year for ‘Firewood And Candles’, while M-Phazes took home awards for his songwriting work on Amy Shark’s ‘Adore’ (Pop Work of the Year) and Illy’s ‘Catch 22’ (Urban Work of the Year).

Peking Duk also claimed two awards, with their song ‘Stranger’ taking out Most Played Australian Work and Dance Work of the Year.

Birds Of Tokyo claimed Rock Work of the Year for ‘Brace’, while Midnight Oil accepted the Ted Albert Award for Outstanding Services to Australian Music.
