Baby’s Overemotional Reaction To Mother’s Song Highlights Power Of Music

It’s long been speculated that babies are inhabited by old souls, hence the fleeting moments of clarity, hell, even wisdom that can come from them. Now it seems proof of the old saying has been caught on camera. In the below footage, you will witness a baby crying, whoop de-do, right? But when was the last time you saw a single tear drop from a baby’s eye while they smile in joy because they were moved by a song?

In a post on YouTube, it’s explained that when Amanda Leroux performs My Heart Can’t Tell You No, a song made famous by Rod Stewart, her baby responds to the emotional heartache of the song just like an adult would. Fighting back tears, baby Leroux even seems to be smiling from the fact that she’s struggling to hold back tears.

Of course, this song is far too emotionally powerful to hold back (hell, I was struggling) so eventually the bub can’t hold it in. Who can blame the kid? Mama’s got some seriously mean vox chops!

Speaking to Storyful about their special bond, Leroux comments, “No one can explain why, not even I. I can sing any other song and do not get the same reaction from her. It’s to adorable to keep all to ourselves.”

Prepare for a cute overload…
