Big Day Out 2013 Lineup – The Final Countdown

Written by Mike Hohnen on July 15, 2012

So the official line up for Big Day Out 2013 is being announced in a matter of hours and it’s time for everyone to get gee’d the eff up. So far we have Red Hot Chili Peppers locked in with a tweet coming from drummer Chad Smith earlier today.

Stacks of other artists are hot favourites to make the line up including Childish Gambino, Sleigh Bells, M.I.A, Dizziee Rascal and many, many more. Check out the full list of names that have been thrown around here. And who knows, some of the fake line up announcements might not be too far off.

The Iconic event will be taking place around the same time as usual, kicking off in Sydney Jan 18th and finishing up in Perth on the 28th, triumphantly returning to the Claremont Showgrounds after heated debate as to its future there. Though not before stopping by the Goldie, Adelaide and Melbourne, who scored the event for Australia Day.

Organisers threw everyone for a curve ball when they announced earlier last week that they planned on unveiling the line up much earlier than expected. Shaking off the standard late september announcement, the official bill will come out tonight at 12:01am. Of course, we will be all over it so you needn’t look any further.
