Big Name Aussie Acts Accept Challenge To Eat Off $2 A Day

Some of Australia’s biggest acts have signed up to endure 5 days of extreme poverty in a bid to raise funds and awareness for those who do so everyday.

Big Scary frontman Tom Iansek, LANKS‘ Will Cumings, DZ Deathrays, The Brow and Frenzal Rhomb‘s Lindsay ‘The Doctor’ McDougall will all participate in the nation-wide Live Below The Line challenge this May, which will see them survive off a food budget of just $2 a day.

“It’s important to remember that while we’re out there spending thousands of dollars on our acai-infused chia and cacao smoothies, there are people in the world who have to feed themselves on two dollars a day,” McDougall said (via The Music).

The Oaktree Foundation’s Live Below The Line campaign raises funds to support education projects in Papua New Guinea, Timor Leste and Cambodia.

You can donate to any of the artists involved, or sign up for the challenge yourself, here.

This May, eat on $2 a day for five days, raise funds and take action to help end poverty. Sign up at bit.ly/this-may-im-living-below-the-line
