Big Village announce Tuka’s debut solo single Tall Poppy

Written by Michael Carr on November 23, 2010

Sydney by way of Blue Mountains MC Tuka, has just released Tall Poppy, the first single off his debut solo record, Will Rap For Tuka. Having gained a reputation as one of the nation’s finest young hip hop artists from his work with Rumpunch, Thundamentals and Sketch The Rhyme, Tuka released his solo debut earlier this month, the album showcasing his diverse talent and influences.

The song is an upbeat yet laid-back horn and piano inflected tune, that sees Tuka doing what he does best, spitting liquid rhymes with a relaxed confidence built up over years of performing and recording. You can stream the single here.
