Blasko, Throsby and Seltmann Together For New Record

Three of Australia’s most beguiling new chanteuses are teaming up for what should be an interesting forthcoming album. Triple J reports that Holly Throsby, Sally Seltmann and Sarah Blasko are forming something of a female supergroup who have been recording together in New York.
Sessions began in August for the trio, under the direction of Nick Cave, Beth Orton and Depeche Mode producer Victor Van Vugt.
In an interview with Triple J, Sydney native Throsby was coy about the album’s details, saying, “Well the project will eventuate in an album which is finished and which is really fantastic and I’m very excited about it. I think all three of us girls are.
“We kind of decided we wouldn’t talk about it until it comes out. But it will come out so we’ll talk about it then.”
Blasko is arguably the biggest name of the three, though Throsby is currently enjoying the exposure granted by supporting M.Ward. She will be touring a great deal during the coming months, details of which can be found at her website.
