Blink 182 Sidewave Support Acts Announced

Written by Mike Hohnen on January 3, 2013

AJ Maddah has done it again! The Soundwave top dawg has confirmed the long-awaited support acts for the upcoming Blink 182 sidewaves. Making an awesome night even better will be The Vandals and UK’s Sharks.

Maddah slipped up on Twitter when responding to a fan. Under the impression that the acts had already been announced, AJ freely dropped them a tweet, realising moments later that it was yet to be confirmed. But no one’s mad.

It’s been a long time between drinks for the loyal followers of old-school punks The Vandals. The gang last inflicted their unique band of punk rock chaos on Aussie audiences back in 2008 with Pennywise, Sum 41 and Bowling for Soup. But Soundwave were here to save the day, much like they were with Sharks’ fans, who were left hanging after their tour with Pennywise was cancelled. We will now be able to witness their debut album No Gods in its live glory very soon.

Blink very recently dropped their latest EP and first independent effort in some years, Dogs Eating Dogs, which – for all those fans unsure whether to check it out or not – is totally worth it.

The Fjords – ‘All In’
