Bliss N Eso Dedicated ‘Friend Like You’ To Johann Ofner In Adelaide Last Night

Bliss N Eso kicked off their tour last night in Adelaide, taking the opportunity to pay tribute to Johann Ofner who died on the set of one of their music videos last month.

Ofner, a trained stuntman, tragically died on the set of the video for their song Friend Like You. The hip-hop group said at the time they were “incredibly saddened” by the incident and further paid tribute to him last night.

They waited until the last song to address Ofner’s death, fittingly dedicating Friend Like You to him at The Gov in Adelaide.

They asked everyone to put their lighters and phones in the air before saying, “We’d like to dedicate this song to a very special person. His name is Johann Ofner.”

“We want to send our love and support out to his family and friends right now. Altogether lets send him some love and rock out together on the song. Much love Brother.”

Earlier in the week the group penned a tribute to Ofner on their Facebook writing, “Although we didn’t know Johann personally, it is clear he was an amazing person with a special soul that will be missed by all.”

They also said that they are working on “something special” to honour him.

The trio are set to play three more dates as part of the ‘Dopamine’ tour. They’re also set to release their new record Off The Grid on 10th March.
