Blood Red Shoes Australian Tour Dates January 2013 – Peats/Pyramid Rock Sideshows

UK alternative rock pairing Blood Red Shoes (Laura-Mary Carter and Steven Ansell) have announced their first ever Australian headline shows this January when they visit our shores for two dates on the back of their appearance on the Pyramid Rock and Peats Ridge festival lineups.

Their sound has been described as three-dimensional, and being crossed with classic acts such as Black Sabbath, Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin and The Rolling Stones, or in other words, encapsulating heavy rock with sweeping melancholic soundscapes. They’re definitely a band for those who like their powerful rock melodies.

In July they released their third album In Time to Voices, and recorded it at The Motor Museum in Liverpool with producer Mike Crossey, who has also worked with the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Foals and Tribes, as well as working with them on their 2008 debut album Box of Secrets.

These new tunes have only added to their live show performances, which we’re told are not to be missed. Steven explains that anything can happen when they go on tour: “From getting arrested after spending a night drinking in a biker den, Laura fighting bouncers…twice, to the two of us breaking up onstage or having a giant fight in Prague and me getting found in the street robbed by two prostitutes. Oh and there was the time where we were invited to a hotel demolition party in Paris where we broke into Keith Richard’s room and totalled it…”

Of course what goes on tour stays on tour… Tickets will go on sale Monday, 15th October.
