Bon Iver Announce Gender Equality Campaign For Upcoming Tour

Bon Iver are set to head out on the European and North American leg of their 22, A Million tour next week, and now the Justin Vernon-led project has announced that they’ll be heading up a campaign to raise awareness for gender equality.

The band have announced they are kicking off the #2amillion campaign, which aims to “raise support, awareness, and person-to-person connections in an effort to end gender inequality, domestic violence, and sexual abuse”.

As part of the campaign they’ll be linking up with local non-profit organisations in each of the cities they’re performing in, and fans will be able to donate to those organisations at the merchandise stalls at those shows.

“Thrilled to announce #2amillion, bringing gender equity centerstage thru action, fundraising, and education,” say Bon Iver on Twitter.

Bon Iver haven’t yet announced whether their current tour will be followed by any Australian tour dates, but fans are hoping that local shows will be announced sooner rather than later.
