Armed with their glorious new record Birthmarks, Canadian indie rock trio Born Ruffians have announced they will be once again heading Down Under for what will be their third adventure throughout our country. Arriving in December, the lads have announced two headlining shows; one for Melbourne and one for Sydney.
You may think that you’ve already seen Born Ruffians – and you may very well have – but this will be the first time the band presents itself to Australian audiences as a four-piece. The injection of a new member is sure to add a multitude of texture to the live performances, bringing tracks to life in a way we had previously been unable to witness.
Fans are no doubt interested in seeing how the tracks from Birthmarks translate into a live setting given that the band departed from their rough-as-guts raw sound, instead adapting a far more polished and refined vibe.
This will be the perfect way to wrap up 2013, or begin 2014 depending on which city you’re in. Unfortunately thousands of people probably have the same idea so best get in quick. Tickets go on sale next Tuesday, 22nd October.
