Brisbane Festival Reveals Full Music Lineup For 2018

Brisbane Festival has unveiled its full music lineup for 2018, after announcing two huge opening and closing parties last month.

Kicking off with an opening party headlined by Ball Park Music and San Cisco this September, the festival will close with a mini-festival featuring the likes of Violent Soho, Meg Mac and Methyl Ethel.

Along the way, various Brisbane venues will host performances from international acts like Kiwi psych-rock act Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Canadian artist Destroyer, as well as sets from Aussies like Eskimo Joe, Sarah Blasko, Gareth Liddiard, Tkay Maidza, Polish Club, Jen Cloher and Yothu Yindi And The Treaty Project.

Brisbane Festival 2018 will also feature the musical production ‘Gratitude & Grief’, featuring Katie Noonan’s Elixir, Michael Leunig and Camerata.

“We’re thrilled that we can offer two, brilliant mini-festivals at Riverstage to mark our opening and closing, each led by bands that make Brisbane proud,” says Brisbane Festival Artistic Director David Berthold.

“And between those two concerts we have a mix of great music, often in energising one-of-a-kind presentations such as our ‘In The Round’ at The Tivoli, the Touch Sensitive / CC:Disco B2B and the Camerata collaborations.”
