British Soap Star Suspended Over Violent & Explicit Rap Video

Chris Fountain, an actor on British TV soap Coronation Street, has been suspended from the show for making violent and explicit rap music under the alter-ego of The Phantom.

25-year-old Fountain, who plays Tommy Duckworth on the show, has apologised for his lyrics after a video of him appeared on YouTube. Some of his shocking lines include “I’m a motherfucking demon, I’ll stab you in the face with a diseased needle,” and “I will fuck anybody up in the worst way, rape a bitch on her birthday.”

Fountain has issued a statement, apologising for his actions: “I would like to sincerely apologise for any offence I have caused. I am deeply ashamed by the lyrics and very much regret my behaviour.

“The videos were made over a year ago when I was experimenting with music and I’ve not done anything like it since and nor will I.”

A spokesperson for Coronation Street has said: “ITV find both the language used and the views expressed in this video totally unacceptable. Chris Fountain has been suspended pending further inquiries into this matter.”

Footage of Fountain performing as The Phantom was being posted on the blog of hip-hop group West Yorkshire Cypher, but has since been made private. So check out the clip below before it gets taken down.
