Broods Postpone Brisbane Show Due To Intense Storm

Yesterday’s violent storm in Brisbane forced New Zealand brother-sister duo Broods to cancel their Brisbane show, due to be held at the Hi-Fi last night. The duo have instead rescheduled the show for this Sunday, 30th November.

Yesterday Brisbane was hit by a super cell storm and massive hail stone, which caused major destruction across the city. According to a statement from promoter Live Nation, the Hi-Fi suffered a power outage during the storm and could not confirm if power would be restored within reasonable time to go ahead with the show and the show was cancelled.

Georgia and Caleb Nott of Broods will return to Brisbane to perform for fans on Sunday November 30th.

Though the storm caused havoc across the city, it seems most events were unaffected. Despite four broken windows, Brisbane venue The Zoo got through the storm relatively unscathed and last night’s gigs at the venue went ahead.

Katy Perry‘s concert at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre last night also went ahead, but suffered some delays, with the venue informing concertgoers that her onstage time had been pushed back until 9pm.

All tickets for Broods’ Thursday show will be valid for the new Sunday date, but punters can obtain a refund by presenting their ticket at the place of purchase by 5pm Friday 28th November. See Broods’ remaining tour dates below.
