Bruce Springsteen Won’t Play AFL Grand Final

Rumours that Bruce Springsteen would be playing at the AFL Grand Final have been unfortunately quashed by the organisers of the event. In a report published by The Music’s Daily Spa, it is said that both the AFL and the Mushroom Group have denied these rumours.

The rumour was originally sparked by notorious Triple M journalist Nui Te Koha, who has never been the most reliable source, predicting that Radiohead were playing the 2012 Big Day Out after Pearl Jam pulled out and The Offspring and Evanesence were headlining this year’s Soundwave Festival; with Nui stating that “the word is, promoter Michael Gudinski has got Bruce Springsteen wrapped up”.

A spokesperson from The Mushroom Group crushed the very faint dream, saying that “There’s no truth in that rumour at all.”

Hopefully we will be seeing a tour from The Boss himself in the coming months, which would confirm the previous rumours that he was touring in September.
