Busy P Promises To Bring Justice And Breakbot For Australian Ed Banger Party This Spring

Written by Mike Hohnen on June 11, 2013

Ed Banger Records is currently celebrating 10 years in the game, hosting party events around the globe and releasing their 10th anniversary compilation, Ed Rec Vol. X. Now label head Busy P (aka Pedro Winter) has not only confirmed that he’ll be bringing the show to Australia this spring, but also that he’ll be bringing Justice and Breakbot along to have them DJ the event, expected to be held in Sydney.

While the exact date for the party is yet to be announced, Winter has given a ball-park estimate of September, October or November this year, which is still specific enough to get excited about. Speaking with Music Feeds, Busy P explained that he doesn’t “plan stuff too much ahead… For sure it is going to be one of those months but we are still working on it.”

So about that line up – Winter says that the performance roster is going to look pretty similar to previous shows, which included a couple of massive dates in Brussels and Paris:

“For sure we’ll get Justice with a DJ set, and Breakbot live and myself with my Ed Banger Megamix.

“We set up a show with a giant screen. We are playing only Ed Banger music for one hour [during the Megamix] and the idea is to show the music that maybe people don’t really know. Of course people know the hits of everybody but in my megamix I try to put the values in our other stuff.”

So on paper, shit is sounding absolutely off the hook and, given that previously announced parties have included Mickey Moonlight, Riton, Mr. Oizo and way more, we can expect some big things come spring.

Stay tuned for more information and the full interview with Busy P himself. Ed Rec Vol. X is in stores now.
