Cedric Bixler-Zavala Could Be Working On A Solo Album

Cedric Bixler-Zavala – of At The Drive-In and The Mars Volta fame – is believed to be working on a solo record.

DIY has found that the vocalist and guitarist has done several tweets suggesting he’s been working on some material in the studio. He’s also posted a fair few pics via Instagram doing just that – with a few special collaborators.

These appear to be Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s Gregory Rogove, David Hidalgo of Los Lobos, Puscifer’s Johnny Polonski, Juan Alderete of the Mars Volta, and Money Mark.

Here’s a couple of the tweets that were published:

Those of you who have been to Splendour in the Grass in the last two years will have got a nice dose of Cedric – with The Mars Volta playing the festival in 2011, and At the Drive-In reforming for this year’s event.

So who knows, if this solo album surfaces, maybe we’ll see him in solo mode in 2013? We’ll give you all the details when and if Cedric reveals details of the record.
