Chance The Rapper Pays Tribute To Muhammad Ali With Emotional New Song

The ESPY Awards 2016 are now underway and already the event is proving to be pretty darn special with Chance The Rapper performing a brand new song as a touching tribute to the dearly departed sporting hero Muhammad Ali.

Not a lot is going around about the track. The piano-fuelled ballad is a slow and moving jam but whether it was arranged thusly for a special occasion remains to be seen. Chance’s unique vocal was joined by visuals of the life and times of Ali, whose impact on the ESPY awards and its culture is immeasurable.

Music and sports have gone hand in hand since the dawn of time and the 2016 ESPYs were no different. Known music maker Justin Timberlake presenting the Icon Award, which this year went to Kobe Bryant, Peyton Manning, and Abby Wambach.

Things are once again heating up for camp Chance The Rapper. Back in June there was talk of an international tour with Australian dates on the horizon. Now we know there’s new music in the works, on top of his latest offering Coloring Book.
