Chance The Rapper, Anderson .Paak & More To Play Huge Mac Miller Tribute Concert

The likes of Chance The Rapper, Anderson .Paak and Action Bronson are set to perform as part of a huge tribute concert in honour of late rapper Mac Miller (real name Malcolm McCormick), who died last month at the age of 26.

The ‘Mac Miller: A Celebration Of Life’ concert will help launch the Mac Miller Circles Fund (MMCF) to support disadvantaged youth, and will take place in Los Angeles on Wednesday, 31st October.

Other music heavyweights like John Mayer, Earl Sweatshirt, ScHoolboy Q, SZA, Thundercat, Travis Scott, Ty Dolla $ign and Vince Staples will also take part, alongside other friends of Miller’s like Dylan Reynolds, Domo Genesis, J.I.D, Miguel and Njomza.

The concert has the support of Mac Miller’s mother Karen Meyers, his father Mark McCormick and brother Miller McCormick.

“The support we’ve experienced is evident in this amazing lineup and is a testament to Malcolm’s incredible life,” says Ms Meyers.

“His father, brother and I are beyond thankful to everyone who is working to make this concert happen along with every fan and every friend for continuing to support Malcolm and his vision.

“He was a caring, loving human with a smile that could light up the sky and a soul that was out to make the world a kinder place and the MMCF will continue to do just that.”

Net proceeds from the concert will go directly to the MMCF, which will be managed by Mac Miller’s estate, his family, a board of advisors and the team from 4 Strikes management.

Last month, Mac Miller’s ex-girlfriend Ariana Grande shared a heartbreaking tribute to the late rapper, saying, “I adored you from the day I met you when I was 19 and I always will.”
