CHVRCHES’ Lauren Mayberry Armours-Up In The Epic Video For ‘Clearest Blue’

Glaswegian trio CHVRCHES have unveiled a stunning video for Every Open Eye standout track Clearest Blue.

The mysterious clip is set in a forest and features an armour-clad Lauren Mayberry in a starry forrest, seemingly waiting for someone to come and meet her “more than halfway.”

The visual was directed by Warren Fu who has also made clips for HAIM and Daft Punk. Once again, he’s done a spectacular job here piecing together the forest scenes with footage in clubs and on desolate streets.

The biggest challenge with the Clearest Blue video would’ve been nailing that triumphant drop, but he’s done it justice here.

The clip leaves a lot to the imagination and finishes on an ambiguous note that says, “follow the blue.” Like CHVRCHES music, the whole thing is dramatic but fragile at the same time.

It’s the fourth clip to be made for songs off the band’s sophomore album Every Open Eye following Leave A Trace and Empty Threat.
