Cloud Control Drop Cover Of Fatboy Slim’s ‘Praise You’

Alternative rockers from the Blue Mountains Cloud Control have unveiled a cover of Fatboy Slim‘s 1999 hit Praise You, taking UK producer Norman Cook‘s glorious, piano-heavy dance floor anthem and turning it into a brooding electronic drone that sounds like a crowded Hacienda circa 1988.

According to the band, the cover will appear on a special fifth birthday compilation from the band’s UK label Infectious Music, to be released as a gatefold vinyl for Record Store Day on a limited release of just 500 copies. Also appearing on the comp are The Temper Trap and Vance Joy.

The band will bring their huge run of Australia-wide free acoustic shows to a close this weekend in Queensland. The current tour follows the release of an acoustic re-recording of Cloud Control’s second album, Cave, titled Cave Unplugged. Check out their Music Feeds LIVE performance here.
