Cold Chisel Show Delayed Due To Cat Attack

In what may be the least rock and roll reason ever given for rescheduling a gig, Cold Chisel have postponed their Thursday April 12 show at Festival Hall, Melbourne because guitarist Ian Moss was bitten by his family cat.

According to the Herald Sun, the pet cat’s attack left Moss in the hospital with a swollen middle finger, and unable to wield a guitar.

The injury isn’t too serious however, as the show has only been moved back to April 19, 2012 and is still taking place at the Festival Hall in Melbourne. The Sydney show at the Hordern Pavilion on Wednesday, April 18 should remain unaffected.

For gig-goers who have tickets for the now rescheduled Festival Hall show, all tickets will be valid on the new date of April 19 with refunds on offer for those who cannot attend.

In a statement of apology, Moss released the following…

“I’m sorry to inconvenience our fans who had tickets for Thursday in Melbourne… It’s amazing that something like a cat bite can lead to a postponed show – that’s what happens when you call your album No Plans. Sorry to be a pussy, I look forward to making amends next week.”
