Converse Announces ‘Acts Of Disruption’ Shows Australia & New Zealand

Initially launched in China back in 2011, Acts of Disruption is a movement inspired by local music scenes in regions all over the world, championed by Converse. The concept was brought to our shores previously with King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, and soon became a hit amongst punters.

The premise of the shows is to ‘disrupt’ the local music scene, by letting the bands get to pick where they play, the most abstract and obscure the better. Though the dates have been announced, no locations have been confirmed yet, but they will come soon. Bands to be featured on this round of the event will be Bleeding Knees Club and Drunk Mums kicking off in Melbourne, Royal Headache and Kitchens Floor playing in Brissy, and Die! Die! Die! with No Aloha jumping the fence for a show in Auckland.

King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard performed their set earlier in May, choosing the former Rozelle hospital as the setting for their Sydney gig. Check out the show here. Malaysia, Indonesia and Taiwan will also benefit from Converse’s renowned commitment to supporting local music scenes, and will soon have their own set of Acts of Disruption in the near future.

Tickets are free of charge and available exclusively via RSVP from: http://facebook.com/ConverseAustralia or http://facebook.com/ConverseNewZealand
