Daft Punk Get Swanky In New Saint Laurent Photo Shoot

Daft Punk has shined up their helmets for a stylish photo shoot for CF Fashion, rocking their brand-new get-up courtesy of fashion house Saint Laurent. French lads Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter rock the Hedi Slimane designed custom tuxedos, with jackets that emulate both the reflective surface of a disco ball and the Matrix code the robots are seemingly comprised of.

We first caught wind of Daft Punk working with Saint Laurent last month, when it was revealed the electro house duo featured in a commercial for the revamped brand. It was also at that time revealed that Slimane was involved in designing stage gear for Daft Punk.

In a recent interview with Sky Ferreira Daft Punk said that they have long been friends of Slimane and share similar tastes, “Hedi is a longtime friend of ours. We share a lot of the same tastes in art and music.”

The new photo shoot comes as the release date for Daft Punk’s new album Random Access Memories draws ever closer. The band’s first album in 8 years, Random Access Memories is due out locally next Friday, 17th May. The official album launch will take place in the regional NSW town of Wee Waa on the same day.
