It’s pretty rare these days to have an article about Daft Punk that doesn’t contain a question mark in the title. The swirl of speculation that constantly surrounds the French electronic duo has once again offered up another circumstantial story.
This time the rumour mill is saying that Daft Punk will play no shows during 2013. Despite recent gossip that suggested Daft Punk would headline Coachella 2013, Consequence of Sound has reported that festival promoter Rob da Bank has been informed otherwise.
“There’s all kinds of crazy rumours flying about at the moment about Daft Punk at Coachella … We got told months ago that Daft Punk were definitely not touring next year, but it keeps the rumour mill going,” explained Bank.
Bestival organiser Rob da Bank has posted a tweet in regards to stories spreading across the internet that Daft Punk may not tour in 2013.
As Bank is quick to point out, he has no direct involvement with the band and Daft Punk could very well tour within the next 12 months.
On the daft punk thing-I’m not their manager, agent or mate so I have no idea if they’ll tour in 2013 …or not! They may do 300 festivals!
