The Daily Mail Australia today published a story about notorious criminals the Apex Gang, reporting on a criminal activity sweeping Melbourne.
The only problem was that they somehow managed to use a photo of UK rap group Section Boyz sitting on a bus, which vaguely resembles the interior of a bus in the Victorian capital.
The worst part wasn’t that the photo had originally appeared on the outfit’s official Instagram account. No, because as Media Watch pointed out it was that this wasn’t even the first time the Daily Mail had used the photo of the London rappers for a completely unrelated story. They’d managed to make the same mistake last November.
The image has since been removed from the article in question, and sure, some may say any publicity is good publicity – but how this could’ve possibly happened TWICE, is just beyond us.
