Back in nineteen diggity (’93), a 6-year-old girl named Kelsey Rohr was the most badass kid on the playground.
Donning a faux KKK outfit and starring in a controversial music video from the biggest band on the planet has a way of upping your kindie cred.
And that’s exactly how Rohr first came to meet Nirvana drummer and current Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, on the set of the iconic grunge act’s Heart-Shaped Box video from their 1993 album In Utero.
Flash forward 23 years and and the adorably creepy blondie is now a fully grown adult, and has reunited with one of the musicians who made such a huge impact on her childhood: the Grohlenator himself.
Sharing a recent snap of herself and Dave Grohl on Instagram, Rohr wrote:
“Today Dave Grohl and I picked up right where we left off 23 years ago on set of Nirvana’s last music video ‘Heart-Shaped Box.’ Today reminded me that I peaked at 6 years old BUT I was the most badass kid on the playground. Today was the absolute coolest. Or in Dave’s words seeing each other today was a ‘historic moment!’ What a legend!!”
We’re assuming that Grohl stopped by during his regularly scheduled regime of flitting across the globe like some kind of beer-soaked tooth fairy doing good deeds and bringing happiness to all.
