Dave Matthews Band have announced two headlining tour dates with Gary Clark Jr. in Sydney and Melbourne while both acts are in town for Byron Bay’s Bluesfest and Fremantle’s West Coast Blues n Roots festival next year.
A recording and touring force for more than 20 years, DMB have rightfully earned the status as one of the biggest bands in the world. Their eighth and latest studio album Away from the World found its way to #1 on Billboard, the band’s sixth album in a row to do so, making them the first band ever to hold that claim.
The album is expected to be well represented at all of their shows but considering they’ve been around since 1991, you can expect all the DMB classics will be performed. ,
Last in town for Big Day Out 2013 and a run of his own headlining sideshows, Gary Clark Jr. will be joining DMB on both nights, returning to his adoring Australian fan base in a less intimate setting than previously, but shows that are sure to have people vibing well regardless.
