David Bowie Announces New Single – ‘The Stars (Are Out Tonight)’

David Bowie fans get excited – the UK music icon is releasing his second new song in as many months on February 26.

Bowie did a post on his official Facebook page yesterday, indicating a new track is on the way. The post listed the date ‘02.26.13’ and the title of the song – The Stars (Are Out Tonight) – along with a picture, which you can check out at the top of the page. The post has clocked up just under 30,000 likes and a bit less than 5,000 shares in the short amount of time it’s been up.

The Heroes singer shot back into the spotlight in early January when he suddenly announced his return from a decade-long musical silence, posting a brand new track and video, titled Where Are We Now.

On top of that, he announced details of a new album The Next Day, which is set for release locally on March 8. Australia is also getting the album three days before the rest of the world – they all have to wait till March 11. Go us.

The Next Day was produced by longtime colaborator Tony Visconti – and you can check out the tracklisting here.
