David Bowie Collaboration Rumoured For New Arcade Fire Album

Rock and roll icon David Bowie is hotly rumoured to be making a guest appearance on Arcade Fire‘s upcoming fourth studio album, Reflektor. The group’s latest single, also titled Reflektor, showed up in select record stores earlier this week.

According to UK paper The Sun, Bowie was present for a Reflektor recording session, that the band was undertaking with album producer James Murphy, formerly of dance rock project LCD Soundsystem, at New York’s Electric Lady Studios. It’s alleged that the collaboration will feature on Arcade Fire’s new album, slated for a late October release.

Ever the one to keep up-to-date with the latest bands, having previously collaborated with Brooklyn experimental outfit TV On The Radio on their 2006 release Return To Cookie Mountain, Bowie is a fan of the Canadian seven-piece. The legend joined the group on stage for New York’s Fashion Rocks event in September 2005 and again later that month at the CMJ Music Marathon.
