Van Halen‘s David Lee Roth obviously took no chances with his Rock N Roll lifestyle on tour – he took out insurance on his penis.
When asked if it was true that his body was insured by broker Lloyds of London, Roth replied: “No, it wasn’t my body, it was ‘Little Elvis’.
“Before we were leaving they said, ‘We’ll have to insure Eddie (Van Halen)’s fingers, because he’s going to be using those a lot on the road, and Alex Van Halen’s elbows, we’re going to have to insure those because he’s going to be using them a lot.’
“And I said: ‘What about Little Elvis? We’re going to be using him a lot.'”
Roth will be touring with Van Halen when they play a one-off show as the Saturday night headliners of the Stone Music Festival at ANZ Stadium in Sydney on Saturday 20th April. It’s unclear whether ‘Little Elvis’ is being insured for that gig yet.
