Hip hop mainstays De La Soul will perform a special set at the Chinese Laundry in what will be the rap groups only Sydney show while in the country for Meredith Music Festival. De La Soul’s Chinese Laundry appearance is part of the popular club’s summer Garden Party, which will also feature local hip hop artists Joyride and Miracle.
It’s been 25-years since De La Soul dropped their debut 3 Feet High and Rising. Since then the American outfit has consistently made a name for themselves as one of the most prominent names in hip hop.
Already part of the sold out Meredith Music Festival 2014, De La Soul’s Garden Party performance will undoubtedly be a more intimate affair laced with the New York trio’s classics like All Good?, The Grind Date, and Ring Ring Ring (Ha Ha Hey).
The Chinese Laundry Garden Party will happen Sunday, 14th December, 2014. Tickets go on sale from from 12pm AEDT, Tuesday October 14th. Victorian fans can also see De La Soul’s Melbourne Meredith sideshow at 170 Russell Street on Friday, 12th December 2014.
