Deep Sea Arcade Australian Tour November 2012 – ‘Granite City Tour’

Written by Mike Hohnen on August 17, 2012

You’d be hard pressed to find a band who has captured 2012 in the same manner as Sydney 5-piece Deep Sea Arcade. Continuing to ride the wave of success kicked up from their March release Outlands, the band has announced plans to pack the van and kick it into tour mode.

It’s safe to say that the band has the Aussie touring circuit on lock, having sold out most of the June tour, putting venues in the awkward position of having to actually turn punters away. They will also be spending most of August sharing the stage with Bluejuice. And it doesn’t stop there: after that, Deep Sea Arcade will be jetting off to the UK and Europe to play at Hamburg’s Reeperbahn Festival and a series of other gigs.

After ticking off the airwaves of Australia, singles from the release Seen No Right and Steam, Granite City soon saw the album tick off the airwaves of the US, scoring the band a No.50 spot on the CMJ top 200 charts, not to mention being greeted with similar critical acclaim in UK, Germany, Spain and Japan. They then returned to our shores to showcase their internationally developed live performance.

Joining the gang on the road will be The Preaches. Tickets to the Granite City Tour go up for grabs Monday, August 20. See below for dates and ticketing info.
