Diplo Announces A+ Support Acts For 2017 Australian Tour

Diplo has just unveiled the names of all the artists who’ll be warming up the stage for him on his massive forthcoming Aussie tour.

The super-producer, who also forms one half of Jack Ü and one third of Major Lazer, has hand-picked his roster of “special guests”, with the main support slot going to American multi-platinum selling wunderkind Post Malone, who’ll be jetting to Australia for the very first time.

And that’s not all, the US electro warriors will also be joined by a pair of hotshot local DJs on the tour, namely Anna Lunoe and Nina Las Vegas, who’ll be appearing in rare back-to-back mode.

So, Sorry to all those holding out hope for a set from Diplo’s m8 Justin Bieber, who also happens to be touring Australia in March of next year. Although, you never know, a surprise cameo could still be on the cards…

Diplo’s forthcoming Aussie tour is scheduled to hit Brisbane, Sydney, Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne and Darwin — yep Darwin — at some of the country’s biggest venues in early 2017, despite the Mad Decent head honcho telling triple j that the performances will be “more like club shows”.

“I haven’t done any solo shows in Australia in venues for like eight years because I’ve only been playing the festival circuit so I wanna come back and do more of a club show,” he says.

Diplo’s big announcement comes hot on the heels of a bangin’ new collab between Jack Ü and Florence Welch, and he’s told triple j that he’s got plenty more new material in the bag.

“I’ve got some new Major Lazer records coming out at the top of the year… an Afrobeat record we did, some hip hop songs I’ve done, about four tracks, and some club stuff. Doing everything.”
