Dirty Projectors Australian Tour Dates 2013

With their latest studio effort Swing Lo Magellan still fresh from the print, the Dirty Projectors have announced their long-awaited return to Australia for a run of festival appearances.

The tour will see the band hit Hobart’s Mona Foma festival before making its way up to Melbourne, where you can catch them at Sugar Mountain. They will then go to Sydney, where the band will be performing at the Sydney Opera house as part of Sydney Festival.

Now, armed with 12 new songs, fans can expect a totally new experience from the David Longstreth-fronted outfit. The band went to drastic measures with the new release, which saw Longstreth relocate 4 hours north of NYC, where he was free to let his creative juices flow uninterrupted. Joined by guitarist and lead female vocalist Amber Coffman, bassist Nat Baldwin, drummer Brian McOmber, and vocalist Haley Dekle in an A-Frame attic, the band refined, and recorded their new full-length album.
