English grime MC Dizzee Rascal has cancelled all three of his Groovin The Moo 2014 sideshows, but will still appear at the festival.
As FasterLouder notes, Dizzee’s sideshows at the Eatons Hill Hotel in Brisbane, the Enmore Theatre in Sydney and the Palace Theatre in Melbourne have disappeared from the venues’ respective websites, and ticket holders were notified of the cancellations via email this morning.
Dizzee Rascal and his management are yet to comment publicly regarding the reasons for this decision, but messages on the Ticketek and Frontier Touring websites state that they “regret to advise that this show has been cancelled”, and that ticket holders will be refunded. Dizzee Rascal’s New Zealand show at Auckland’s Vector Arena has also been removed from the tour schedule.
Dizzee last visited Australia for last year’s Future Music Festival but has since released his fifth album, aptly titled The Fifth.
