Dune Rats’ New Album Is Done, Dusted & In The Bag

Dune Rats have got a new album in the bag. And — uh — something else too, judging by the video they’ve just uploaded to Facebook.

“WE’VE MADE A NEW ALBUM AND IT IS FINISHED!!!!! NEWS COMING SOON…” the band posted, alongside a video of frontman Danny Beusa cutting sick with a plastic sack filled with… some grainy substance of questionable origins.

The Brissie bonglords have been bro-ing down with a bunch of other Aussie artists during the recording process. They’ve already cameo’d on a big tune from Drapht’s new album and revealed that they’d been“HAVIN A CRACK AT WRITING CHUNES WIV OLD MATES DZ Deathrays”, which could very likely feature on their forthcoming second album.

The Dunies haven’t given us an album since their 2014 debut, although we did get a new tune with Bullshit this year. It means we can probably expect plenty more new Dune tunes — and tour dates — from the stoner rock trio very soon.

But for now, you can catch them performing live at Coolum’s Originals Music Festival, Beyond The Valley 2016 and the Central Coast’s Mountain Sounds festival next year, and their sack of questionable origins, below.
