Electric Gardens Festival Drops 2018 Dates & Venues

Grab your motorised shovel and LED watering can, because Electric Gardens festival is coming back to zap dance fans across at least four different states in 2018.

The beloved doof has just unveiled a bunch of dates and venues for next summer’s shenanigans, with an official save-the-date issued for fans in Sydney, Brisbane and Perth.

The Perth bash will go down on 19th January at the city’s natural amphitheatre Red Hill Auditorium, before hitting Brisbane’s The Marquee on 25th January, while the flagship Sydney event will return to its home at the iconic Centennial Park on 27th January.

Don’t worry Victorians — promoters have promised that there are “further states still to be announced”, and the official website is prompting punters to sign-up for an exclusive pre-sale to the Melbourne 2018 event, so we daresay you won’t be missing out.

According to a statement from the boss dog Electric Gardeners themselves, each venue’s arena “will feature four uniquely themed stages with the high-tech production previously displayed at each event”.

As for the lineup? Yep, it’s set to be bloody ‘uge, with the musical horticulturalists who run the event promising “more artists than ever before” and “the type of global legends we’ve come to expect of Electric Gardens’ programming”, which they’re reminding us “channels the park-based electronica popularised by Parklife, Summadayze, and Listen Out, but goes one step further by steering clear of trend-dependent acts, and instead inviting the absolute godfathers of electronic music to step up to the plates”.

As we all know, previous lineups have seen the mighty likes of John Digweed, James Zabiela, Basement Jaxx, Sasha, Jamie Jones, Stacey Pullen, and Eric Prydz as Cirez D grace the main stage.

Co-director Damian Gelle says, “Our Electric Gardens family couldn’t be more excited about the festival’s third appearance. It has been a whirlwind adventure, and a lot of hard work to get just this far – but we are confident that the calibre of acts we have locked for 2018 will make this Electric Gardens’ defining year.

“[Expect] a mix of Ibiza and the European festival circuit – featuring artists that make rare visits to Australia.”

Pre-sale registration opens tomorrow via the festival’s official website. Catch all the details below.
