Eminem: ‘It Wasn’t The Real Slim Shady’s Daughter’

A rep for Eminem has informed E News! that it was not the rapper’s daughter, Hailie Scott Mathers, but an impostor who tweeted inflammatory comments directed at Taylor Swift. Earlier in the week it appeared as though Hailie Mathers took offensive to Swift’s relationship with One Direction member Harry Styles.

A series of tweets coming from the Twitter account ‘Hailie Scott Mathers‘ berated Swift and claimed that the pop performer was ‘whoring herself around’. Now Eminem’s rep would have us believe that the whole incident was a hoax.

As reported by the Huffington Post, the Twitter account in question offered a public apology before being deleted. Reportedly, the final two posts on the now inactive account read:

Wow. I didnt mean for people to react to my tweet in the way that they have it was just a bit of fun! Sorry @taylorswift13 for my immaturity.”

“I believe I’m entitled to my own opinion, but that got out of control. I don’t understand why there are ‘news’ articles written about it!

As the Huffington Post notes, if this was indeed the work of someone other than Eminem’s actual daughter, it would be the second time that a fake Hailie Scott Mathers’ account has circulated misinformation on Twitter.
