Another big European Festival has unveiled its first announcement for 2013 – and it’s a ripper too.
In fact, come mid-August, all roads may lead to Hasselt in Belgium for this year’s Pukkelpop Festival. Organisers have put together a super-diverse line-up that caters for everyone who loves their rap, hip-hop, indie stuff, old-school rock and dance.
Eminem, Neil Young & Crazy Horse and The xx have been given the honour of being nightly headliners this year – with a huge support card below them each night.
Of these, the opening night on Thursday looks the most appealing, with the recently-reformed Nine Inch Nails, Slayer, Fall Out Boy, Deftones and Baauer all warming the stage for Slim Shady.
Friday night is when Young and co. own the place, but The Prodigy, Fun., Boys Noize and Sbtrkt will also be there, as will Matt Corby, who is flying the Australian flag at the festival.
The final night – Saturday – is also set to be huge, with Franz Ferdinand, Opeth, Lamb Of God, Foals and Alabama Shakes all strutting their stuff.
And, this is just the first announcement – apparently there’s a lot more acts on the way, which isn’t surprising for Pukklepop considering it normally contains 200 acts across 8 stages throughout the three days.
Pukklepop 2013 takes place at Kempische Steenwag, Kieweit Hasselt in Belgium from 15th-17th August. Tickets go on sale Wednesday 27th, March at 2pm local time. For more information on the festival visit its official website.
