Perth pop rockers End Of Fashion have announced the end of their hiatus, with a national tour set for September in celebration of the 10 year anniversary of their self-titled debut album.
End Of Fashion’s 10 year anniversary tour will see the band knock out tracks from their debut record, as well as a couple of other fan favourites.
Speaking about the group’s reunion, End Of Fashion frontman Justin Burfod says he was inspired after playing a show in Perth earlier this year.
“We did what we thought would be a special one off-show at Amplifier, a venue that had a lot of meaning for us back in the day. Putting those songs back on that stage, playing with guys like Mal Clark and Jay Cortez, it all kind of felt like going home. There was such an energy in that room. It just felt good,” he says.
“So we thought, let’s do this again! Take it out to some of the other venues we played around the country back in the day. See if we can have that same experience in other cities we visited.
“So that’s what Im excited about the most, having that connection with a crowd in a rock and roll venue again, playing songs from a very special time in my life.”
End Of Fashion revealed their plans for a reunion when they activated a new Instagram account earlier this week, telling fans that a tour announcement was “coming soon”.
End Of Fashion released their debut album in 2006, packing the hugely popular lead single O Yeah, which reached number eight in the triple j Hottest 100 of 2005 and scored two ARIA Awards. They released their second album Book of Lies in 2008, and Holiday Trip of a Lifetime in 2012, before going on hiatus in 2013.
The band’s 10th anniversary tour is set to kick off in Sydney on 8th September, before heading to Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Bunbury and Perth.
