Are Europe About To Announce Their First-Ever Australian Tour?

UPDATE 03/11/17: The Final Countdown is over! Europe have announced their first ever Australian tour for 2018.

It looks like Swedish rock legends and ‘The Final Countdown’ hitmakers Europe are preparing to announce their first-ever Australian tour.

*cancels next haircut*

In a sneaky teaser posted to the band’s Facebook page, the group have revealed that they have a “VERY SPECIAL TOUR ANNOUCEMENT [sic] COMING AT END OF THIS WEEK”, and they’ve also dropped a pretty massive hint about where the tour will be, saying:

“In the meantime a quiz… What do these three bands have in common? AC/DC, Rose Tattoo & Midnight Oil.”

The obvious answer is that all three bands are from down under, which suggests that Europe is finally coming to Australia — and it’s about time given that Australia has been going to Europe for Eurovision for a few years now.

Jokes aside, if Europe do make the trip to Australia in the near future, they’ll be touring in support of their 11th and latest album Walk The Earth, which dropped earlier this month. The band would also be likely to pull out hits like ‘Carrie’, ‘Rock The Night’ and, of course, ‘The Final Countdown’.

For now, it’s just a countdown until an official announcement.
