Ex-Slipknot Drummer Joey Jordison Gives An Update On His Health

Ex-Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison has given an update on his health after revealing that he had been living with an intense and crippling neurological disorder.

Back in 2016, Jordison revealed his struggles living with transverse myelitis, which is a neurological disorder caused by inflammation of both sides of one section of the spinal cord. It can be completely debilitating, and can pain, muscle weakness, sensory issues or even paralysis.

However, Jordison claims to have beaten the disorder, according to Consequence of Sound. In a new interview with Metal Wani, Jordison shared how he is “stronger than (he’s) ever been.”

“It took me a long time, man, to recover and get my strength back,” he said. “It was the scariest f–king thing I ever went through in my life and I busted my ass, got the right trainers. I was not not gonna play drums again.”

Jordison performed with Slipknot between 1995 and 2013, but his current band, Sinsaenum, are touring Australia in November. More details on that here.
