Calling all Smith Street Band and The Bennies fans, this is one you’re gonna want to hear. Ex-members of both those bands have linked up to give us a new supergroup, LOSER.
Started by Tim Maxwell (Apart From This/Grim Rhythm) in 2017, he showed some demos to mates Chris Cowburn (The Smith Street Band) and Craig Selak (The Bennies) and they hopped on board as drummer and bassist respectively.
On top of that, James Tidswell of Violent Soho loved the band’s stuff so much that he put his hand up to release it through his record label, Domestic La La.
The band have released their debut single, also titled ‘Loser’, and it sounds exactly how you’d expect. You can watch the 90’s inspired, VHS style video for ‘Loser’ below.
