Exclusive: Behind The Scenes On Boy & Bear’s ‘Southern Sun’ Video Clip

Boy & Bear recently released Southern Sun, the first single from their upcoming sophomore record, Harlequin Dream, and this morning we got the first taste of the beautiful new video clip for the track. Now Music Feeds can take you behind the scenes of the film shoot in this exclusive video.

Shot at Moke Lake, 30 minutes out of Queenstown, the icy waters and mountain ranges of New Zealand’s South Island may not be the first images that spring to mind when the summery strains of Southern Sun wash over you but, as the band explains in the below video, the clip reflects the lyrical content of the song brilliantly.

We get to witness the overcoming of some last-minute nerves as the boys take to the skies and zip up the side of a mountain in their first helicopter ride, all in the name of some truly epic snowbound cinematography. And there’s also a minor incident involving a misjudged creek traversal and unsuitable footwear. The hazards of shooting on location, eh?

Check out the new clip below, then have a look at the behind-the-scenes video for some candid moments with the band and crew.
