Face The Music 2013 Reveals Full Conference Program

For another year, Melbourne’s annual contemporary music summit Face The Music is shaping up to be another relevant and topical event on the national music industry calendar. Today heralds the announcement of the full conference program, which will bring some of the biggest minds in the biz all together in one room.

One of the most buzzworthy topics within the industry is the state of the summer festival market. Face The Music will address this head on with their What The Festival! conference. Big Day Out co-founder Ken West will be speaking on the subject, as will Paul Sloan from Rock-It WA alongside Groovin The Moo promoter Steve Halpin.

Of course, Face The Music also focuses on the creative aspect, so in that spirit Ball Park Music mainman Sam Cromack will be speaking about his songwriting processes during an intimate APRA In Conversation, backed by triple j’s Dom Alessio.

Courtney Barnett will also team up with Face The Music for the APRA Songwriting Masterclass. Production wiz and newly-christened Eminem collaborator M-Phazes will also be holding a workshop specialising in drum programming and sampling.

Last year’s Face The Music sold out in record time, and this year won’t be much different. Tickets are on sale now via the official website so get in quick.
