Feeds Fresh Faces: Rackett

Dropping their debut single and video for Bats, all female pop punking and hard rocking powerhouse Rackett are here and they’re kicking ass and taking names.

The latest signees to 123 Agency, the four piece are made up of Bec Callander (Bec and Ben) Skarlett Saramore (SHE REX, Fait Accompli and Particles), Ally Gaven (Baby Lips & the Silhouettes and Salvador Dali Llama) and Jessamyn Jean (Mylee and The Milkshakes).

Bringing their extensive experiecne in the music industry to the band – having individually performed alongside acts such as Dead Kennedys, Courtney Barnett, DZ Deathrays, Crystal Castles, Violent Soho and New York Dolls – the band have spent the beginning of 2016 crafting their high energy and adventurous live show. Quickly gaining notoriety for their energy, passion and skill, they’ve already supported the likes of Abbe May, The Bennies and Sticky Fingers.

Their debut single Bats distills all this down into a recording, with the sound jumping out of the speakers. Recorded with Dave Hammer, the band have already started working on follow up singles, recording with Anna Laverty (Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds and Florence & The Machine) and with their debut EP set for release in January 2017.

That’s not all they’ve got up their sleeves though, with their video clip for Bats, directed by Caroline Sundt-Wells of Desert Designs ,released this week.
